Mercedes-Maybach GLS 600 ultra-luxury SUV — Swiss Limousine Service

The Mercedes-Maybach GLS 600 (X167) is the SUV body of the Maybach line — an ultra-luxury vehicle built for principals whose itinerary genuinely belongs in a raised seating position. In Geneva and the Swiss Alps it is the vehicle of choice when the Maybach S-Class register is right for the protocol level but the route is not: a family travelling together up the Bagnes valley to a Verbier chalet in February, a UHNW principal preferring the GLS’s commanding view for the long climb through Sierre to Crans-Montana, or a discreet residency in Gstaad where the GLS slips into the village more naturally than a long sedan. SLS operates a 2024 Maybach GLS 600 in Maybach Twin-Tone trim, with the same dispatch logic as the S-Class Maybach — quiet roster, senior chauffeur only.

Tarifs — Mercedes-Maybach GLS

Hourly rate from CHF 1,200. Like the Maybach S-Class, the GLS 600 is priced on a tailored basis for longer engagements. The realistic engagement is a full day, a return alpine itinerary or a multi-day residency — not a single transfer hour. The rate covers the senior chauffeur, vehicle, fuel, all Swiss motorway and alpine surcharges, and any required pre-clearance with resorts or private estates.

Indicative reference profiles (final quotes confirmed on enquiry):

  • Full-day commitment, single principal or family of three, Geneva region
  • Geneva ↔ Verbier round-trip with day stand-by at chalet
  • Geneva ↔ Crans-Montana round-trip with stand-by at resort
  • Geneva ↔ Gstaad full day or multi-day stand-by
  • WEF week alpine commute (Geneva-Davos with rest cycle)
  • Multi-day winter residency at a chalet (Verbier, Zermatt, Gstaad)

For all of these contact the SLS desk at /contact/ for a tailored quote.

Use cases — when the Maybach GLS is the right call

UHNW families on the alpine winter circuit. A family of three with a daughter and a nanny travelling between Geneva-Cointrin and a private chalet in Verbier, Gstaad or Zermatt usually books across two vehicles — a Maybach S for the principal, a V-Class for the staff and ski equipment. The Maybach GLS collapses this into one car when the family wants to travel together: three passengers in the Maybach executive rear, two staff seats forward, full ski-equipment hold and the raised seating that makes the Bagnes-valley climb and the Sierre serpentines feel calmer than a long sedan would. The car can also be paired with a second SLS V-Class for staff and equipment when the brief calls for it.

Discreet residency in resort villages. Gstaad, Verbier-Médran and the Crans-Montana plateau are small, walked rather than driven. A Maybach S-Class can read as overdressed in those villages; the GLS, in a dark trim, slips in more naturally. For a UHNW principal in residence for two to four weeks, the GLS is the daily car — morning ski club, midday lunch in the village, evening dinner up the road, late return.

Inclement weather and difficult routes. Heavy winter storms over the Mont-Blanc tunnel route to Megève, snow over Sierre, late-spring runoff over the Bagnes ascent — the GLS’s all-wheel drive, E-Active body control air suspension and raised stance simply work in conditions where the Maybach S-Class would still go but with less margin and less ride comfort.

Mixed UHNW agenda — town and country. A principal alternating between a residence above Lake Geneva (Cologny, Anières) and an alpine chalet for the season keeps a Maybach GLS as the standing vehicle. The same chauffeur handles the city evening dinner, the morning run to the Geneva private bank, and the Friday afternoon climb to the chalet — without the principal switching cars.

Routes & destinations

Geneva ↔ Verbier. Two hours via the A9. The GLS handles the final Bagnes climb noticeably better than any sedan, including the Maybach S-Class, when the road is wet or icy.

Geneva ↔ Gstaad. Roughly 2h via the A9 and the Saanenland approach — a classic Maybach GLS engagement during the Christmas to Easter window.

Geneva ↔ Crans-Montana. 2h15 with the Sierre serpentines; the raised seating makes the climb less tiring for a passenger in a long stay.

Geneva ↔ Zermatt. Three hours to Täsch; the GLS unloads ski equipment and luggage before the principal transfers to the village electric shuttle.

Cross-border alpine. Megève, Courchevel-1850, Val d’Isère and Saint-Moritz are routinely covered on a day-commitment basis.
