Road conditions and seasonality

The Valais motorway A9 up to Visp (Zermatt, Saas-Fee) or Martigny (Verbier) is treated daily in winter. For Zermatt, the final road stops at Täsch — from there, shuttle train or authorized electric vehicle only. Our chauffeurs drop clients at the dedicated Täsch car park with seamless handover.

During peak weeks (Christmas–New Year, February school holidays, and local events), transit times can extend by 20–40%. We adjust your Geneva departure to meet your schedule. For late-night arrivals via the private aviation terminal, we can position the vehicle at the resort the evening before when useful.

Alpine chauffeurs and vehicle equipment

All chauffeurs covering Zermatt transfers hold the Swiss professional transport licence, have a minimum of five years of experience, and complete internal alpine-winter training. How long is the Geneva to Zermatt transfer?

Approximately 3 hours by chauffeur in normal conditions, covering 250 km via Lausanne, Sion and Visp. We typically allow 3h30 in winter or peak weeks (Christmas, February holidays) to account for road conditions on the Visp – Täsch valley road. Real-time traffic monitoring built into every booking.

Where exactly do you drop off in Zermatt?

Zermatt is a car-free village. Our final drop-off is at Täsch terminal (5 km below Zermatt) where the Zermatt Shuttle Train or hotel electric taxis take you the last 12 minutes into the village. We coordinate with your hotel's electric pickup so your bags transit door-to-door — you do not handle them at any change point.

Can you connect Zermatt with the Glacier Express to St Moritz?

Yes. We routinely drop clients in Täsch in time for the Glacier Express morning departure to St Moritz, and meet the train at the Täsch end of the line on the return leg. The same vehicle and chauffeur can handle multi-day programmes Geneva → Zermatt → (Glacier Express) → St Moritz → Geneva, with luggage shuttled by car while you ride the train.
