The as-directed chauffeur service (sometimes called hourly hire or mise à disposition) from Swiss Limousine Service assigns you a dedicated Mercedes vehicle and chauffeur for the duration you need — half-day, full-day, or consecutive days. Ideal for busy days in Geneva, multi-site events, back-to-back banking meetings, property viewings, shopping and family tourism days, or corporate visits with multiple site stops. Mercedes-Benz fleet less than three years old, multilingual chauffeurs trained in protocol, transparent hourly pricing with no surge.
How it works
You book a vehicle and chauffeur for a defined period (3 hour minimum). The chauffeur is at your exclusive disposal for the entire duration: transfers, waiting times, programme changes, unplanned stops — everything is included in the hourly rate. No per-trip metering, no meter ticking, no mid-day renegotiation. Your chauffeur knows your plan at departure and adapts in real time to your changes.

Dedicated fleet
For as-directed service, we prioritise recent vehicles in our Mercedes fleet: E-Class for executive discretion, S-Class for maximum comfort (heated and ventilated seats, rear passenger screens, refrigerator), V-Class for family or corporate groups up to 7 with hand luggage, Sprinter VIP for delegations of 8 to 17 with meeting-cabin configuration. All vehicles equipped: USB chargers at each seat, on-request 4G Wi-Fi, bottled water, tissues, umbrella, blankets (winter).
Booking flexibility and modifications
You book by announcing only the start time, start location, and minimum duration (3h). The programme can evolve during the day: added destinations, prolonged stops, reordered sequence. Your chauffeur reprograms in real time. The hourly rate does not change as long as the reserved duration covers the time used. Extension beyond initial duration: standard hourly rate, no penalty.

Frequently asked questions
What’s the difference with a simple transfer?
A transfer is a flat-rate A → B trip. As-directed service is a chauffeur and vehicle reserved exclusively for you for a defined duration, for a flexible and evolving programme. More expensive per hour, but much more flexible and suited to busy days.
Does the chauffeur really wait without pressure?
Yes. Our chauffeurs are trained in discreet waiting — they park in a designated area, quietly available, never in the client’s line of sight during meetings. Direct SMS for when you need them. 3-hour minimum for the economic logic to work for everyone.
Can I change destinations during the day?
Absolutely — that’s the main advantage. Add, remove, reorder stops at any time. The hourly rate covers the entire reserved duration regardless of number of stops or mileage.
What about cross-border days?
Available, with foreign tolls and motorway stickers billed at actual cost. A typical as-directed day Geneva–Annecy–Évian–Geneva, or Geneva–Chamonix–Courmayeur–Geneva in summer, fall within this scope.
What is the cancellation policy?
Free up to 24 hours before start. 24h–2h: 50% of reserved hours. Less than 2h or no-show: 100%. During peak weeks: window extended to 72 hours.
Can I try the service for a half-day before committing?
Yes. Most of our recurring corporate clients started with a half-day trial. No commitment beyond the reserved duration.
