Company story
Founded in 2010 in the heart of Geneva, Swiss Limousine Service (SLS) was born from a simple belief: every journey deserves to be exceptional. Marc Tardy started with a single Mercedes-Benz E-Class and a clear conviction — that Geneva’s diplomatic, banking and family-office clientele deserved a chauffeur service operated to the same standards as the institutions they served.
Fifteen years later, SLS has built a reputation as one of Geneva’s most trusted private chauffeur operations, growing organically without ever spending on outbound advertising. The fleet has expanded from a single sedan to a curated range of Mercedes-Benz vehicles, all maintained, insured and operated under Swiss federal B121 standards.
Marc Tardy — Founder & Managing Director
Marc Tardy is the founder and managing director of Swiss Limousine Service. A licensed Swiss professional chauffeur (B121), he personally oversees the corporate accounts desk, the long-distance transfer programme to the Alps and partner cities, and SLS’s industry partnerships.
Over fifteen years, Marc has personally driven heads of state, Watches & Wonders and EBACE delegations, hotel-recommended UHNW clientele, and humanitarian aid coordinators between Geneva, the French and Swiss Alps, and major European hubs.
He has a particular focus on cross-border transfers (Switzerland-France-Italy) and on the operational discipline required to serve diplomatic and family-office clients: NDA-bound chauffeurs, real-time flight tracking, and a no-surge fixed-price commitment.

Suggested story angles for journalists
- The Geneva diplomatic supply chain — how UN summits, WEF, and humanitarian operations rely on a small ecosystem of trusted ground-transport operators.
- The Swiss B121 license — what differentiates a Swiss federal chauffeur from a generic VTC, and why insurers, hotels and concierges still favor it.
- The Mercedes-only doctrine — why pure-fleet operators outperform mixed fleets on UHNW retention.
- Cross-border alpine ski transfers — the operational complexity of moving guests from GVA to Courchevel through both Swiss and French customs zones with snow tyres, chains, and child-seat compliance.
- Founder-operator longevity — how SLS has grown for 15 years without paid advertising in a category where most competitors burn cash on Google Ads.
Quotable lines
“Every journey deserves to be exceptional. After fifteen years, that conviction is still what gets us up at 4 a.m. to meet a flight.”
— Marc Tardy, Founder & Managing Director
“Our clients don’t choose us for the car. They choose us for the certainty that the car will be in the right place, at the right time, driven by someone they would trust with their family.”
— Marc Tardy
“Discretion isn’t a marketing line — it’s contractual, NDA-bound, and embedded in every assignment briefing.”
— Marc Tardy
