Swiss Limousine Service operates the Geneva–Milan corridor daily with the same Mercedes fleet and the same chauffeurs who serve our UHNW clientele at home. Whether you are flying into Milan Malpensa (MXP), Linate (LIN), or Bergamo (BGY), heading to Fashion Week, negotiating in the Quadrilatero della Moda, or touring Lake Como, we provide discreet, protocol-aware private transport at fixed rates — with drivers who speak Italian fluently and know Milan as well as they know Geneva.

Milan airport transfers — MXP, LIN, BGY

Meet and greet at each airport’s arrivals hall, flight tracking included, 60 minutes of free waiting, and a chauffeur who assists with luggage end-to-end. Malpensa Terminal 1 and Terminal 2, Linate business aviation terminal (Prime Aviation, Sky Services), Bergamo Orio al Serio — we cover all three with the same flat rate structure. Typical transit times from Malpensa: central Milan 45 min (A8), Lake Como 1h, Bergamo 1h30. From Linate: central Milan 20 min, Quadrilatero 25 min.

Geneva to Milan — direct or via Simplon

Two routing options. Summer and clear-weather: Geneva–Mont Blanc Tunnel–Aosta–Milan, 4h00 to 4h30 depending on tunnel traffic. Winter or Mont Blanc tunnel closure: Geneva–Valais–Simplon Pass–Milan, 4h30 to 5h. We quote both options at booking and recommend based on live conditions. Private jet clients often prefer the shorter leg: we deliver to Geneva Airport’s private aviation terminal in the morning and have a Milan-based chauffeur ready at Linate or Malpensa.

Fashion Week and Salone del Mobile

Milan Fashion Week (February and September) and Salone del Mobile (April) are peak weeks with extreme hotel and car demand. We book Mercedes S-Class and V-Class vehicles three to six weeks ahead for our returning clients. Hourly hire with a fixed chauffeur for the duration of the fair: Via Tortona, Brera, Rho Fiera, and the designer showrooms in one coordinated schedule. Multilingual chauffeurs, protocol-trained, discreet dress code.

Lake Como, Lake Maggiore, St. Moritz

Milan to Villa d’Este (Cernobbio): 45 min. To Lake Maggiore: 1h15. To St. Moritz via Maloja Pass: 3h15. We also handle round-trips to Portofino, Monaco, and the Italian Riviera with overnight driver arrangements. For weddings at Lake Como villas, we coordinate entire fleets — Mercedes S-Class for the couple, V-Class for parents, Sprinters for the wedding party.

Corporate and discreet service in Milan

Financial district runs to Piazza Cordusio, Porta Nuova, and the Bocconi quarter. Hourly hire for half-day or full-day board meetings, investor visits, and site inspections. NDA-ready chauffeurs, consolidated billing for corporate clients, dedicated dispatcher for law firms and banks. English, French, Italian, German spoken by every chauffeur on the Milan roster.

Fleet available in Milan

Same Mercedes fleet — E-Class, S-Class, V-Class, Sprinter — with resident chauffeurs or Geneva drivers on multi-city assignments. All vehicles under three years old, Italian-registered fleet complemented by Swiss-plate vehicles for cross-border continuity when the client prefers a single chauffeur end-to-end.

Frequently asked questions

Can the same chauffeur drive me from Geneva to Milan and back?

Yes, this is our most common request for executive clients. Overnight accommodation for the chauffeur is billed at cost. Most clients prefer single-driver continuity for discretion and efficiency.

Do you accept ZTL (Zona Traffico Limitato) access for Milan centre?

Yes. Our Italian-plate fleet has authorised access to Milan’s Area B and Area C. Our Swiss-plate vehicles pay the ZTL fee when needed, included in the flat rate.

How do you handle luggage for Fashion Week?

V-Class vehicles take up to six passengers with full luggage. Sprinters handle entire modelling agency bookings with wardrobe cases. We coordinate with your concierge for loading sequences.

Are your Milan chauffeurs English-speaking?

All Milan chauffeurs speak fluent Italian and English. Most also speak French; several speak German. We match languages on request.

What is the free-cancellation window for Milan trips?

Standard: 24 hours. During Fashion Week and Salone: 72 hours. Contact us to confirm your trip’s specific window.

Geneva to Milan — distances, routes and timing

Geneva to Milan is one of the most-requested international transfers we operate. The drive crosses the Italian-Swiss border at the Grand-Saint-Bernard or Simplon pass in summer, or via the Mont Blanc tunnel and Aosta Valley in winter. The northern Simplon route via Brig and Domodossola is the most reliable in all seasons. Door-to-door from a Geneva hotel to a Milan city-centre address is between 4 hours 30 minutes and 5 hours 30 minutes depending on traffic and border conditions; via the Mont Blanc tunnel from Chamonix to Aosta, allow 5h00–6h00.

For families with children, we recommend a comfort stop at the Stalden or Brig services on the Swiss side, where the cafeteria is open 24/7 and the views over the Rhône valley are excellent. We carry refreshments, child seats, and a separate pillow for the children’s nap on the second half of the drive.

Milan airport transfers — Linate, Malpensa and Bergamo

Milan is served by three airports, and the right choice depends on the airline and the day’s traffic.

  • Milan Linate (LIN) — the city airport, 7 km east of the Duomo. Reached from Geneva via the A4 ring road. We monitor flight times in real time and meet you at the arrivals door (Terminal 1) or, for private aviation, at the Sea Prime Aviation FBO.
  • Malpensa (MXP) — the intercontinental hub, 50 km north-west of central Milan. Best for transatlantic and Gulf carriers. The drive Malpensa to Milan city centre is 50 minutes off-peak, up to 90 minutes during rush hour. From Geneva, the direct route via the Simplon adds only ~15 minutes compared with going through Milan-centre.
  • Bergamo Orio al Serio (BGY) — 50 km north-east of Milan, mainly low-cost carriers. Less convenient for the city but a useful option if returning to a Lake Como hotel.

For corporate clients with frequent Linate transfers, we offer a dedicated chauffeur in residence in Milan — same driver, same V-Class, every visit, with the principal’s preferences pre-loaded (language, music, refreshments, route preference).

Where Milan visitors stay — hotels we know personally

Our chauffeurs know every grand-hotel entrance, side-street drop-off and underground garage in central Milan. The Mandarin Oriental, the Four Seasons via Gesù, the Bulgari, the Park Hyatt opposite the Galleria, the Principe di Savoia at Piazza della Repubblica, the Armani Hotel on Via Manzoni, the Excelsior Hotel Gallia opposite the Centrale station — we have driven principals to and from each of these many times. We coordinate with the hotel concierge in advance, arrange the right entrance for principal arrivals, and handle the luggage in the way each property prefers.

Milan Fashion Week and the trade-show calendar

The two Milan Fashion Weeks — women’s in February and September, men’s in January and June — generate the busiest transfer windows of our Milan calendar. Brand executives, buyers, press and family-office clients all rely on private chauffeur transport during the week because Milan ground transport collapses under the volume. We block fleet capacity (V-Class for teams, S-Class for the principal, occasionally a second V-Class for security and luggage) and recommend booking at least 6 weeks ahead of the show dates.

Beyond fashion, the Milan calendar includes the Salone del Mobile in April — the design fair at Rho-Pero — which adds another peak week. Watches, design and fashion clients often combine Milan with a Geneva visit during Watches & Wonders (April) and we organise a single chauffeur for the full Geneva-Milan-Geneva loop with two nights in Milan in between.

Day trips from Milan — Lake Como, Lake Maggiore, Bellagio

Many of our Gulf, Indian and Royal-family clients use Milan as a base for the Italian Lakes. We organise full-day disposal from a Milan hotel : the Bellagio loop on Lake Como (Villa del Balbianello, Villa Carlotta, the Bellagio peninsula, lunch at La Locanda al Cantuccio); the Stresa-Isola Bella programme on Lake Maggiore; the Sirmione-Lake Garda excursion for clients spending more than one weekend. Each is a 10-hour disposal day, lunch organised through our partner hotels, return to Milan before 19h00.

For Gulf families staying at Milan grand hotels, we frequently combine three nights in Milan (Linate arrival) with three nights at Villa d’Este on Lake Como, returning to Linate on the final day. The chauffeur stays with the family throughout, the V-Class carries the luggage and shopping, and the children’s car seats remain installed for the duration.

Cross-border transfers Geneva ↔ Milan ↔ St. Moritz ↔ Côte d’Azur

Geneva-Milan is the spine of a wider cross-border circuit we operate every summer and winter. Popular multi-day loops:

  • Geneva → Milan → Como → Stresa → Geneva (4 days) — the Italian Lakes summer programme
  • Geneva → Milan → Forte dei Marmi → Cinque Terre → Monaco → Geneva (7 days) — the Italian Riviera + Côte d’Azur grand tour
  • Milan → St. Moritz → Davos → Klosters → Zurich (4 days) — winter ski circuit via the Maloja pass
  • Milan Fashion Week → Geneva Watches & Wonders (1 week, late April) — the back-to-back industry circuit

On any of these programmes, the chauffeur and V-Class (or S-Class) stay with the family for the entire duration. We carry an Italian motorway Telepass for tolls (no queues at booths), a Swiss vignette, and a French motorway pass. Border crossings are handled with the relevant documents pre-prepared.

What’s different about chauffeur transport in Milan

Milan is a city where private transport is essential. The historic centre’s ZTL (limited traffic zone) makes regular taxis and rental cars impractical for hotel arrivals at the Bulgari, the Park Hyatt or the Mandarin — only ZTL-registered vehicles can enter, and our local Italian-registered Mercedes vehicles are pre-cleared. Without ZTL access, even a 200-metre approach to your hotel becomes a 15-minute detour.

We also handle the practical realities the international visitor does not see: Milan’s tow-away policy is aggressive, on-street parking near central hotels is impossible, the airport drop-off lanes at Linate and Malpensa now charge per minute, and the Italian highway code distinguishes between transfers (which we are licensed for) and “noleggio con conducente” (chauffeured rental). Our Milan operation is fully licensed under both regimes, which is why we can collect at Linate and drop at the Duomo without restriction.

How to book a Milan chauffeur transfer or programme

Send us your dates, flight numbers and Milan hotel address. We respond within two business hours with a detailed written proposal: vehicle category, chauffeur for the duration, all-inclusive fixed price in Swiss francs or euros, payment terms.

For multi-day Milan + Lakes programmes, we usually recommend a V-Class for the family with a dedicated chauffeur in residence; for couples on a city break, the S-Class with executive specification is the right choice. Fleet capacity is the constraint during Fashion Week and Salone — book six weeks ahead.
