Swiss Limousine Service has been welcoming families from the Gulf to Switzerland for many years. From a single Mercedes S-Class for a discreet city stay to a multi-vehicle convoy carrying an extended family across Geneva, Divonne-les-Bains, Évian, Annecy, Montreux, Interlaken and Zurich — our chauffeurs and our fleet are built around the way Qatari, Saudi, Emirati and Kuwaiti families actually travel in Europe.
This page explains how our daily-disposal chauffeur service works for Gulf families on holiday in Switzerland: how the fleet scales from one car to three or four vehicles, how the day is structured around your hotel, your shopping and your private programme, and which Swiss and French Alpine destinations we cover from Geneva. All quotes are bespoke — please contact us for a detailed proposal.
Why Gulf families choose Swiss Limousine Service
Families from Qatar, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Bahrain and Oman are among the most loyal clients of Geneva’s grand hotels — the Four Seasons Hôtel des Bergues, the Mandarin Oriental, the Beau-Rivage, the President Wilson, the Royal Évian on the French shore of Lake Geneva, the Victoria-Jungfrau in Interlaken, the Baur au Lac in Zurich. Many of these families return every summer, often with grandparents, several children, nannies and a security team. The transport requirement is rarely a single airport transfer; it is a multi-week programme involving several vehicles, daily disposal, shopping trips, doctors’ appointments, day excursions to the Alps and cross-border movement between Switzerland, France and Austria.
What we offer is not a taxi service. It is a private chauffeur operation with a Swiss-registered Mercedes-Benz fleet, professional drivers vetted for discretion, fluent in French and English, and trained in the courtesies expected by Royal and high-net-worth families. Discretion is the rule: tinted rear windows, no logos on the vehicles, no chatter with staff, no photographs. Our chauffeurs are accustomed to working alongside personal security, governesses and house managers — they understand that they are part of a wider household team for the duration of the stay.
Experience matters here. We have spent years building protocols for the specific way Gulf families move: very early-morning airport departures during Hajj or Eid, late-night returns from the casino in Divonne, shopping convoys to Bahnhofstrasse, day trips to Annecy and Évian with a stop at a halal restaurant we know personally, return airport transfers in the small hours of the morning to catch the Etihad, Qatar Airways or Saudia flight. The chauffeur is the same throughout the stay; the vehicle is the same; the level of service does not change between day one and day thirty.
One vehicle or a fleet — how our service scales
The single most useful feature for Gulf families is our ability to deploy several vehicles in parallel for the same family, with chauffeurs who coordinate as a single team. The composition of the day depends on the size of the party, the activity and the destination.
Mercedes V-Class — the family workhorse
The Mercedes-Benz V-Class is the vehicle of choice for most Gulf families travelling with children. Seven passenger seats in a 2+2+3 configuration (or 6 seats with a central aisle), a generous boot for shopping bags and pushchairs, electric sliding doors on both sides, tinted privacy glass, conference seating option for face-to-face travel, Wi-Fi, USB charging at every seat, individual climate control, refrigerated storage for cold water and refreshments. Child seats — infant carrier, forward-facing toddler seat, booster — are included on request at no charge. The V-Class is comfortable enough for a six-hour transfer to Innsbruck or Vienna, and small enough to navigate the narrow streets of Annecy old town or the Lavaux vineyard villages.
Mercedes S-Class — the principal car
For grandparents, for senior members of the family, or for a discreet evening out, the Mercedes-Benz S-Class flagship sedan is what Geneva concierges call “the principal car”. Three rear-passenger seats with executive specification, rear cabin Burmester sound, climate-controlled massaging seats, privacy curtains. It is the right car for an evening at a Michelin restaurant on the Lake, a private viewing at a Geneva watch boutique, a doctor’s appointment at the Clinique La Colline. When a family has both a V-Class for the children and an S-Class for the grandparents, the two cars travel in convoy — same chauffeur team, same arrival time, doors opened in sequence.
Mercedes Sprinter — for the extended family
When the family travels with twelve, fourteen or seventeen people — three generations, plus nannies and security — the Mercedes Sprinter executive minibus is the answer. Up to seventeen passenger seats in a luxury configuration, panoramic windows, individual reading lights, generous luggage area. It allows the entire family to travel together to Interlaken, to a private chalet in Verbier or Crans-Montana, to a wedding in Lausanne. The Sprinter is the standard solution for ski-season group transfers to the Valais and the Bernese Oberland.
Multi-vehicle convoys — three, four or five cars
For larger family parties — a Royal household, a multi-family group, a wedding or a multi-day excursion to Austria — we deploy three, four or five vehicles simultaneously. A typical convoy: two V-Class for the children and the household staff, one S-Class for the principals, one E-Class for security, one Sprinter for luggage and the catering team. Every chauffeur on the convoy is briefed together; routes, comfort stops, halal lunch venues and arrival times are planned to the minute. We do this every summer, every Hajj season, every Eid — it is, frankly, what our operation is best at.
Daily disposal — 8, 10 or 12 hours
Gulf families rarely book transfers point-to-point. The pattern is almost always daily disposal: the chauffeur and the vehicle are at the family’s disposal for a block of hours, from a morning pickup at the hotel through the shopping, the lunch, the afternoon excursion and the evening return. We offer three standard daily packages, and we are happy to extend any of them with extra hours on the day itself.
| Package | Duration | Best for |
|---|---|---|
| Half-day disposal | 8 hours | Geneva shopping morning + lunch at the Lake + return to hotel for prayer / rest |
| Full-day disposal | 10 hours | Annecy day trip, Évian thalasso day, Lavaux & Montreux Riviera tour |
| Extended day disposal | 12 hours | Interlaken excursion (Jungfrau, Grindelwald), Zurich shopping day return |
| Multi-day programme | 3+ days | Vienna, Salzburg, Innsbruck, Kitzbühel road trips; multi-canton Swiss tours |
All packages are all-inclusive: chauffeur, vehicle, fuel, Swiss motorway vignette and French motorway tolls, parking in city centres and at hotels, Swiss VAT, mineral water (still and sparkling) refreshed daily, Wi-Fi, USB charging. We do not charge night, weekend or holiday surcharges. There is no metered fare. The quote is fixed in advance, in Swiss francs, against the agreed programme.
Pricing is bespoke. It depends on the vehicle category, the number of vehicles, the destinations within and outside Switzerland, the length of the stay, and any special requirements (security escort, multi-vehicle convoy, overnight chauffeur accommodation for cross-border trips). All quotes are on request. Send us your dates and programme and we will respond within two business hours with a detailed proposal.
Geneva and the Lake Geneva region
Most Gulf families begin and end the Swiss summer in Geneva. We know the city as our chauffeurs grew up here — every grand hotel entrance, every private clinic, every watch boutique on the Rue du Rhône, every halal restaurant from the Pâquis to Carouge, every dignified back route to avoid the tram works in the city centre.
Typical Geneva days include the watch boutiques on Rue du Rhône (Patek Philippe, Rolex, Vacheron Constantin, Cartier), the high-jewellery houses on the Place du Molard, the Confédération Centre for the children, the Globus department store, the Manor on Rue de Cornavin. Lunch is at Le Vallon, the Bayview at the President Wilson, or one of the discreet halal restaurants on the Right Bank we know personally. Late-afternoon, the family often crosses the lake by car for a walk in the Parc des Eaux-Vives or a quiet tea at the Beau-Rivage.
For families staying on the French shore — the Hôtel Royal Évian, the Hôtel Ermitage, or a private villa in Yvoire or Anthy-sur-Léman — we handle daily transfers across the Swiss-French border. Our chauffeurs are accustomed to the documentation, the French motorway tolls, and the routes that avoid the morning border queue at Chêne-Bourg.
Divonne-les-Bains — a second home for many Gulf families
Just over the French border from Geneva, the spa town of Divonne-les-Bains has become a discreet second home for many Kuwaiti and other Gulf families. We have driven the same families to and from their Divonne villas for years — the discreet detached houses around the golf course, the lakeside properties on the Lac de Divonne, the apartments near the casino.
From Divonne it is a 25-minute transfer to Geneva, a 35-minute transfer to Geneva Airport, a one-hour drive to Lausanne, two-and-a-half hours to Annecy via Bellegarde, three hours to Évian by the south Lake road. We also handle the daily school run for Gulf families in long-term residence — the international school in Versoix, the Institut Le Rosey campus in Rolle.
The Divonne Casino, the 18-hole Domaine de Divonne golf course, the equestrian centre, the Yacht Club on the Lake — all are part of our standard Divonne routine. Evening pickups from the casino at one or two in the morning, with the same chauffeur waiting on the family’s schedule, are entirely normal for our operation.
Évian, Yvoire and Chens-sur-Léman — the French shore
The French shore of Lake Geneva, between Hermance and Évian-les-Bains, is a favourite for Gulf families seeking quiet, water and a slightly different atmosphere from the Swiss city. The Hôtel Royal at Évian, with its private gardens, golf course and thermal spa, is the central reference point — many families take a suite or villa for two or three weeks every summer.
Between Geneva and Évian, the lakeside villages of Hermance, Chens-sur-Léman, Yvoire (the medieval flower village), Excenevex (the only sand beach on Lake Geneva) and Thonon-les-Bains form a 50-kilometre ribbon of restaurants, marinas and small luxury hotels. We organise full-day Évian programmes that begin with a morning at the Royal spa, lunch at the Michelin-starred Les Fresques or at a private lakeside restaurant in Yvoire, an afternoon at the Excenevex beach for the children, and an evening return to Geneva or the Royal.
For families staying at the Royal Évian, we provide daily disposal with a chauffeur based on site — transfers to Geneva for medical appointments, to the airport for incoming family members, to the Divonne casino for the evening, to Lausanne or Montreux for a day on the Swiss Riviera.
Annecy — shopping, the lake, the old town
Annecy, “the Venice of the Alps”, is a 45-minute drive from Geneva and a popular day-out destination for Gulf families staying on either side of the lake. Our standard Annecy programme is a full-day disposal (10 hours): morning departure from the Geneva hotel or villa, arrival in Annecy at the foot of the Vieille Ville, walk along the canals and the lakeside promenade, lunch on the lake terrace at L’Auberge du Père Bise in Talloires or at one of the halal restaurants in the new town, afternoon shopping in the Galeries Lafayette and the boutiques on the Rue Carnot, late-afternoon tea on the Pâquier with a view of the château, evening return to Geneva.
For families with younger children we add a stop at the Plage d’Albigny or a boat ride on the lake from the Port d’Annecy. The Aravis mountain road through La Clusaz and Le Grand-Bornand is a popular extension in summer — picnic at a mountain restaurant with a view of the Aiguilles de Chamonix, return to Geneva via Bonneville.
Montreux and the Swiss Riviera
Two hours east of Geneva along the Lake, Montreux is one of the most popular Swiss destinations for Gulf families. The Fairmont Le Montreux Palace, the Victoria in Glion, the Eden Palace au Lac and the Royal Plaza all welcome large family parties every summer. The annual Montreux Jazz Festival in July brings several Royal households to the Riviera for two weeks.
From Montreux, our chauffeurs handle the full Riviera programme: the Lavaux UNESCO vineyard terraces (a 30-minute scenic drive through Saint-Saphorin, Chexbres and Rivaz), the Château de Chillon, the Rochers-de-Naye railway from the lakeside, Vevey and the Charlie Chaplin Museum, Caux above Montreux with its panoramic restaurants, day trips up the Gruyère valley to Gruyères village and the chocolate factory at Broc. For a multi-day Riviera stay, we provide a chauffeur and V-Class permanently on site, with a second vehicle on standby for the principal car.
Interlaken and the Bernese Oberland
Interlaken is, with Geneva, the single most popular Swiss destination for Gulf summer travellers. The Victoria-Jungfrau Grand Hotel & Spa, the Royal Park, the Belvédère in Wengen and the Bürgenstock Resort on Lake Lucerne all see significant Gulf clientele between June and September. The drive from Geneva to Interlaken is 2 hours 45 minutes via Bern; from Zurich it is two hours. We treat the journey itself as part of the holiday, with comfort stops at the Aubonne motorway services for a coffee at the lookout, and a lunch break at a hotel in Spiez on the Lake of Thun.
Once at Interlaken, the Bernese Oberland programme is rich: the Jungfraujoch railway from Lauterbrunnen (“Top of Europe”), Grindelwald and the First gondola, Mürren and the Schilthorn (the James Bond peak), the Trümmelbach waterfalls inside the cliff, the Beatus caves on Lake Thun. We organise full-day disposal from Interlaken with the chauffeur waiting at each cable car base while the family takes the railway up — meeting them at the agreed time for the return drive.
Zurich and Eastern Switzerland
Zurich is the shopping capital. The Bahnhofstrasse from Paradeplatz to the Bürkliplatz on the Lake — Hermès, Louis Vuitton, Chanel, Cartier, Bucherer, Beyer — is a full-day disposal in itself, with the chauffeur waiting on Bahnhofstrasse and the family moving on foot between boutiques. Lunch is at Kronenhalle, at the Baur au Lac, or at the Widder in the old town. Afternoons often include a private viewing at one of the Old Town antique houses or a quiet walk along the Limmat.
From Zurich we extend to Lucerne (1 hour, the Bürgenstock and the Pilatus railway), to Lake Constance for a quiet weekend, or to St. Moritz in winter. The drive from Geneva to Zurich is 3 hours direct; we generally suggest an overnight in Lucerne or at the Bürgenstock to break the journey.
Austria — Vienna, Salzburg, Innsbruck, Kitzbühel
Multi-day road trips into Austria are a regular part of our summer programme. From Geneva or Interlaken, we drive to Innsbruck (5 hours from Interlaken via the Arlberg pass), to Salzburg (a further 2 hours), to Vienna (8 hours total). The Hôtel Sacher in Vienna and Salzburg, the Schloss Fuschl on the Fuschlsee, the Stanglwirt at Kitzbühel — these are familiar addresses to our operation.
Multi-day Austrian programmes are run with a chauffeur and V-Class (or two vehicles for larger parties) staying with the family throughout. The chauffeur is responsible for the route, the hotels’ arrival logistics, the daily disposal at each stop, the petrol stations, the toll vignettes for Switzerland, France, Austria, the family’s preferred halal lunch venues along the way. We carry refreshments, child seats, prayer mats on request, and a separate suitcase for the chauffeur’s own clothing for the full duration.

Frequently asked questions
Can you provide several vehicles for the same family?
Yes. Multi-vehicle convoys are a standard part of our service. We routinely deploy two, three or four vehicles in parallel for the same family — typically a combination of V-Class for children and household staff, S-Class for the principal members, and a Sprinter for luggage or larger groups. All vehicles travel in coordinated convoy with chauffeurs briefed as a single team.
What is the difference between an 8-hour and a 12-hour daily disposal?
An 8-hour package covers a half day — typically a morning shopping trip with the chauffeur at disposal until early afternoon. A 10-hour package covers a full day, including lunch and an afternoon excursion (Annecy, Évian, Lavaux). A 12-hour package is for longer day trips — Interlaken, Zurich, Lucerne — with the family returning to Geneva or the lake in the evening. Multi-day programmes are quoted separately.
Do the chauffeurs speak Arabic?
Our chauffeurs are fluent in French and English. We have found over the years that bilingual French-English service, combined with discretion and an understanding of the way Gulf families travel, is what matters most. Communication with the household manager, concierge or security team is straightforward in either language.
Can you collect us from Geneva Airport at any time?
Yes. We operate 24/7 with no night surcharge. We monitor the flight in real time, adjust the pickup time to match any delay, and meet the family at the arrivals door (or on the tarmac if the family is in private aviation at the Geneva Executive Aviation Terminal). For a multi-vehicle arrival we position all vehicles in advance and meet each member of the family by name.
Are child seats included?
Yes, at no charge. Please specify each child’s age and weight at the time of booking so we can prepare the correct seat — infant carrier (0-12 months), toddler seat (1-4 years), booster (4-12 years). Multiple child seats can be installed across two or three vehicles in a convoy.
Can you organise multi-day road trips to Austria or Italy?
Yes. We organise multi-day programmes to Vienna, Salzburg, Innsbruck, Kitzbühel, the Italian Lakes (Como, Maggiore), Milan and the Côte d’Azur. The chauffeur and vehicle stay with the family throughout. We handle hotels’ arrival logistics, the daily disposal at each stop, the cross-border vignettes and tolls, and the family’s preferred dining venues along the way.
How do you handle discretion and privacy?
Discretion is the rule. Our vehicles carry no external logo or branding. Privacy glass is fitted to all rear cabins. Our chauffeurs are bound by a written confidentiality undertaking — no comment, no photograph, no communication about the family or its movements outside the operational team. We are accustomed to working alongside personal security and household management as part of a wider team.
What payment methods do you accept?
Bank transfer in Swiss francs, credit card (Visa, MasterCard, Amex), or corporate invoice. For long-stay programmes we usually take a 30% confirmation deposit and the balance before the final day. Family-office direct settlement is possible for established clients.
